I am a photographer and sound therapist deeply connected to the natural world.
My photographic practice is a personal and ongoing exploration of our relationship with place. Through solitary walks and extended periods of immersion in natural landscapes, I capture the subtle shifts of light and shadow, revealing a hidden, subconscious realm within the environment.
My work often focuses on the liminal hours – those transitional moments between day and night where the boundaries between reality and the unseen blur.
My images are not merely representations of landscapes; they are windows into a deeper, more profound experience of place. They invite viewers to pause, reflect, and consider their own connection to the natural world and the importance of preserving these vital habitats for future generations.
I hold a BA in Photography from Solent University and an MA in Photography from Falmouth University. I am currently the Subject Leader for Photography at Barton Peveril College in Southampton. I am also a qualified sound therapist, having studied with the British Academy of Sound Therapy in 2012, and I maintain an active therapy practice in Hampshire, England. I am passionate about the therapeutic arts, believing that by deepening our connection to nature, we can cultivate greater inner peace and harmony. My sound therapy practice integrates elements of ecopsychology and nature-based spirituality, offering a holistic approach to well-being that honours the interconnectedness of all living beings.
